







My name is Krystal and I am an animal trainer turned dog educator with over 10 years of experience. During my professional career, I have had the opportunity to work with many species of animals, including birds of prey, marine mammals, reptiles, small mammals, primates, dogs and cats.
Work and volunteer Experience
Earth Rangers – Bilingual animal presenter and trainer
-Daily care of mammals, reptiles, and birds including food preperation, observing behaviors, creating enrichment, and positive reinforcement training.
-Presentation of scripted and non scripted educational shows at schools, meet and greet events and museums as well as television appearances and newspaper interviews.
-Traveled across Canada to deliver French and English presentations
Vancouver Aquarium – Marine mammal training internship
-Assisted with the daily care of Pacific white-sided dolphins, stellar sea lions, and seals.
-Completed the “ABC’s of Animal Training”.
-Created daily enrichment and observed animal’s behaviors.
-Provided educational presentations for the public.
Fauna Foundation
-Cleaned and updated areas in and around animal enclosures.
-Diet preparation for monkeys and chimpanzees.
-Created enrichment devices for primates.
Education
Seperation Anxiety Pro Behavior Consultant Program
A detailed course with over 100-hours of class work and videos, this program covers how to help clients and their dogs overcome seperation anxiety together. Assessments include a multiple choice questionnaire, body language and plan building assignments, and a real world client practical exam.
The Dogue Academy – Animal Behavior Training Program Level 1
This 100-hour course includes the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to train and treat animals with mild to severe behavior problems. Topics covered included physical and emotional language of dogs, animal training (including behavior modification, learning theory and behavior management, etc.), nutrition, husbandry and health care.
The Dogue Academy – Animal Behavior Training Program Level 2
This 100-hour course covers topics such as learning theory, behavior modification, program planning, advanced clicker training, business management, client management and deviant behavior
